Belle
NO love is not enough - you need it and about a thousand different things - like:
compassion patience encouragement passion forgiveness and on and on and on and on and on - then you might make it - if you add the Grace of God and a double dose of Mercy - but if you just have love...Never

OH WOW...now ya' went and did it...it's 2am I've had a few white wines...insomnia has me in it's clutches and you ask this question...
First off...BC... you have a point!
But second....if LOVE is all that was necessary---I'd still be with my ex boyfriend...but alas...H.J.W.T.I.Y.R! (He just wasn't that into you, Rubble...he loved me as a dear close FRIEND and we still email three times a year...but well....we ain't together now are we....MY love wasn't enough to make him commit to me.)
The more important question...wonderful post but what inspired it???
^rubble^ lol I TRIED the ^'s at the beginning and end of my blog name but it didn't seem right... it's all YOU....and I will never again use the ^s! It's YOUR trademark of sorts, like my icon....trademark, trademark, trademark!!! It don't seem right!

I believe that love is only one portion of a beautiful puzzle that fits together very well. Without all the other things like Lookin mentioned you won't get the full effect of the big picture.

BELLE:
Let's put that love in the proper context of the total meaning of the song:
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game.
Thus, love is learning how to play the game, including the suggestions that Lookin' made such as "compassion, patience, encouragement, passion, and forgiveness."

Wonderful post..and wonderful comments...I'm in agreement...Love doesn't work alone...Along with what Lookin and the others said...add friendship..and don't forget..you must love yourself before you can ever truly begin to love another...at least this is what I've been learning... Smiles to you Belle

Love is an action not a feeling - so unless, the actions back up the words "I love you" all you have is empty promises - any man can get a girl in a sack and get her pregnant - it takes a real man to stick around and help with the diapers, take out the garbage and put food on the table every day!!!

I personally don't think so. In every relationship there are different cicumstances. Even if you love the person with all of your heart some times it just can't work.
Many Blogstream members are there
already! Quotes from members: "It's like blog lite!" -- "I like the instant
gratification!" -- "Stop spectating, get in the game!"
If you have not joined in, you are really missing out!
